“Simplesmente Gigios” or (“Simply Gigios” in English) is the ultimate introduction to one of the most prominent figures in the electronic music scene in Brazil, the formidable Guilherme Freire, also known as Gigios. Born in São Paulo and raised in the USA, Gigios grew up with a blend of cultures shaping his identity: the golden era of hip-hop was dominating the radio waves, and a young Gigios was learning to play the saxophone, percussion, and joining the church choir. His faith was tested when hedonism knocked at his door, and the nights were spent listening to electronic music and burning brain cells with friends. “Simply Gigios” is a 7-year labour of love, encompassing various moments and setups. The underlying thread connecting these elements is an artist (and human) in a constant state of evolution. A resident of the party “Climão” Gigios is considered one the best things since sliced bread. Simply The Best.
