Anyone familiar with the geography of Brasil's Northeast, one its most diverse landscapes, knows it is divided in three main environments that refer directly to their respective flora and fauna: the exuberant jungles comprising Zona Da Mata, the variety of hues and temperatures the Agreste offers and the daunting aridness of the Sertão. This profusiveness of colours and moods, if it were to be translated musically, would result in something quite close to what Meduna shows in his début for Gop Tun Records. As the side-project of one half of Forró Red Light, the duo responsible for breathing new life into regional music hailing from that same area by infusing it with avant-garde electronics, this EP is a bountiful package that displays the versatility of the prolific producer Ramiro Galas in three tracks filled with the rhythmic heat, the melodic fragrances and tonal richness that comprise some of the best things the country has to offer.
