This isn't a reissue. This legend is called Marcio Lomiranda and the man is operating in the present tense and looking into the future. Our paths crossed around the Não Existe Festival when we decide to showcase his work to our younger audience. Lomiranda's roots go deeper into the '70s when he worked with titans like Ney Matogrosso, Gal Costa, and others in a career that mixed studio and live work.

"Electroalma" is the record that joins all the dots of Marcio's career: the rough side of vintage krautrock, the analog circuitry of his ambient vision, Brazilian music, and his work with tv/movie soundtracks. It's also a record that without a single word speaks about humanity, as he pointed out in a recent interview: "I tried to paint all the colors of our physical and emotional plains, common things for all human beings". Gestated over a period of 3 years, this record was finished during the pandemic, making the subject even more poignant.

This is an album to sit, listen and contemplate. An album with meaning. A true album from one of the forefathers of Brazilian electronic music.

Esta não é uma reedição. O nome desta lenda é Marcio Lomiranda, e ele está operando no presente e olhando para o futuro. Nossos caminhos cruzaram-se em torno do Festival Não Existe quando decidimos mostrar seu trabalho para um publico mais jovem. As raízes de Lomiranda vão mais fundo, mais precisamente para os anos 70 quando trabalhou ao lado de com titãs como Ney Matogrosso, Gal Costa e outros em uma carreira que misturou trabalhos de estúdio e apresentações ao vivo.

"Electroalma" é o disco que une todos os pontos da carreira de Marcio: o lado áspero do krautrock vintage, os circuitos analógicos de sua faceta ambient, a música brasileira e seu trabalho com trilhas de tv/filmes. É também um disco sem uma palavra dita, mas que expressa a humanidade, como salientou numa entrevista recente: “Eu procurei pintar as cores das dores físicas e emocionais de todos nós, coisas comuns a todo ser humano.”. Gestado em um período de 3 anos, esse projeto foi finalizado durante a pandemia, tornando o assunto ainda mais pungente.

Este é um álbum para sentar, ouvir e contemplar. Um álbum com significado. A verdadeira representaçao de um dos precursores da música eletrônica brasileira.
